Pricing
What design costs, said plainly.
It is the first question nearly everyone has, and the one most studios avoid until the second meeting. Ours are published. You can plan with real figures before you speak to us.
How to work with us
One core service, two ways to begin.
Full-Service Interior Design is what the studio does. When you need decisions rather than a full design, there is Design Day, and a Design Consultation when you need a direction first. Both are credited in full toward Full-Service.

Design, room by room
Where a full design begins.
A starting figure for each room. The exact fee depends on what the room needs, and it is confirmed with you in writing before you agree to it.
Every surface and fixture decided, drawn and specified before anything is demolished.
Bathroom design →Kitchen designfrom $9,250Layout, millwork, appliances, slab and lighting, coordinated on one drawing.
Kitchen design →The whole housefrom $18,000Every room developed as one idea, phased to suit how you want to build.
Whole-Home Design →Furnishings, new construction and accessory dwelling units are scoped in the Design Consultation and quoted in writing.
If we also build it
Construction is optional, and priced only once the room is drawn.
A firm written price, built from the approved drawing, before anything is demolished. Delivered under a licensed registered contractor, within one hour's drive of the studio.

What moves the fee
Three things shape the price of a design.
And none of them is how long we talk.
Whether the layout changes
Designing a room on its footprint is one job. Moving the plumbing, a wall or the island is another, with options to compare and more to draw.
How much is made for the room
Custom millwork, a stone layout with continuous veining, a detailed niche: each is drawn piece by piece so it can be built exactly.
How far the documents go
A design you can see is one level. A set a builder can price and build from, without a single question left open, is the next.

If now is not the time
Sometimes the right advice is to do less, or to wait.
Three ways to move forward, at the pace that suits you.
Get a direction
One hour that tells you what the room needs and what to do first.
The Design Consultation →$1,300Decide in the room
Four hours with your designer, every decision written down within 48 hours.
Design Day →From $4,600Design the house, build in stages
Several rooms designed as one idea, built one at a time. The house still reads as a whole at the end.

Why is design a separate fee?
Because the drawing is what makes every later number true. Design is bought separately, priced separately, and delivered whether or not we build. You can take it to pricing with more than one party.
What decides the fee for a full design?
Three things: whether the layout changes, how much is made specifically for the room, and how far the documents go. The fee is confirmed in writing in the proposal, before you agree to it.
Do Design Day and the Design Consultation count toward Full-Service?
Yes. Design Day ($1,300) is credited in full toward Full-Service Interior Design within 30 days. The Design Consultation ($350) is credited in full within 60 days.
Is the construction price fixed?
The construction price is firm and in writing before anything is demolished. It is built from the approved drawing, with every trade priced against it and no allowances. Nothing over $500 changes afterwards without your signature.
How much should I hold back for the unexpected?
In a house built before 1985, plan for something behind the wall. We put it in the budget as a range from the first conversation, and the site is verified before the firm price is written.
Do you offer financing?
No. We do not offer financing and we do not recommend one option over another. A lender or a financial advisor is the right person for that conversation.
