Furnishings and procurement

The interior does not end when construction does.

Furniture, lighting, textiles, art and objects complete the relationship between a room and the way it is lived in. We select them as one composition — scale, movement, comfort, material, and what you see looking from one space into the next.

A complete furnishing direction

Depending on scope: furniture plans, specification of individual pieces, custom and trade sourcing, textiles and window treatments, and the direction for art and accessories.

Procurement, receiving and installation

Purchasing, tracking, freight, receiving, inspection and installation, coordinated according to the proposal. Long-lead pieces are ordered against the construction schedule rather than after it — which is the single most common reason a finished house sits empty for two months.

The pricing structure, including any procurement fee or markup, is stated clearly before an order is placed.

Final styling

Ana Clara leads the final composition of the space, so the materials, the furnishings and the smaller details read as one thing rather than as something added at the end.

Investment

You never pay more than the listed retail price. Freight and receiving pass through at cost.

Questions

Questions about furnishings

All questions→
Do you only furnish projects you designed?

No. Furnishing is sold on its own, and it is often the piece people leave until the end and then do in a hurry from whatever is in stock.

When should furniture be ordered?

Against the construction schedule, not after it. Long-lead pieces ordered at the end are the single most common reason a finished house sits empty for two months.

How is procurement priced?

As a percentage of purchases with a stated minimum. The structure — including any fee or markup — is stated in writing before a single order is placed.

Do you handle delivery and installation?

Yes: purchasing, tracking, freight, receiving, inspection and white-glove installation, coordinated according to the proposal. Ana Clara leads the final styling herself.
